I think what struck me the most was the end of the film because the two killers are young teenagers like us. We see no expressions of regret but a pleasure in killing other young people, other people without any scruples.  We see the atrocity that can happen when we least expect it. Despite a heavy atmosphere and the fact that the characters are filmed from behind which is ennociating of a tragic end...and makes us think about it. However, the film remains calm and slow throughout. The ending therefore appears even more shocking.

What is impressive, would be this aspect of contrasts between the slowness of the film, the banality of the actions. A typical day of a high school student. We see the activities of each character, their hobbies. We see them in the corridors through repeated actions. Effects through slow motion replays. Everything seems calm, heavy atmosphere... we expected a little action but not like that. Not a big massacre.

What is particularly upsetting would be that Erick kills Alex... in addition to any other scene of the massacre which is very heavy. We don't expect such an upsetting. It's difficult to understand. And the question of why? For what to make innocent people pay, so much violence, hatred, without scruples. They're just teenagers. It's all very frightening.

4/ A disturbing aspect...
The first two victims are Michelle, the nerd, very lonely, who asks nothing from anyone... and Elyas, a nice boy, who lived his life quietly. So it's unfair that these two people are the first victims. This is a disturbing aspect.

5/ The most shocking:

The way Alex takes 'pleasure', no cold bloodedness in killing even Erick, supposedly his accomplice. But also that the gun takes on the scale of video games. Finally, one element that shocked me would be when he goes looking for Nathan and Carrie. Which he finds in the freezer. Alex hums before he decides which one he's going to kill. A very upsetting and shocking scene, so the viewer may be shocked to see a teenager feeling so little emotion.

The two shooters:
These two shooters are teenagers like the others, practicing ordinary hobbies more or less (piano, video game, high school student). However, they do not look like killers... or villains... but violence is gradually taking its place. It is true that the absence of their parents and the lack of affinity that they meet makes me feel a feeling of sorrow and excuse for their anger. But this goes too far, and this apathy quickly goes to the son of the film. Many aspects which set up the violence (fascination for violence, Nazism, there scenes where these two boys arrive in the high school in armed outfit, the pleasure to test weapons, video games ect ...).

Aspect of sensibility, Alex very good pianist, scene of Eloise. Then neither of them not kissing a girl he kisses. Finally the fact that they live alone, without receiving any affections brought to feel a certain sensitivit

This shooting is not made of a targeted revenge. The fact that the two shooters kill everyone they come across. Without question, without aiming at anyone in particular.

The characters are filmed from behind... especially as noted by the Cross on the red sweater. These elements give us pause for thought. Why are the characters followed and filmed from behind? It is a choice of the director and is enunciative of the final drama.

The first scene begins with a long moment where the sky is filmed and the movement of the clouds is not observed. This shot is repeated. At the beginning the sky is clear but then comes the storm after Alex and Erick are asleep, (before the massacre) this creates a different and darker atmosphere. The film takes up the idea of a calm before the storm.

The film ends as it began. The sky seems to open to give way to the sun.
Finally the melody played by Alex in his room on the night of the storm is repeated many times.

10/
You have to admit that the ending is surprising. We can feel a hatred towards the two killers that at first could be appreciated. We even feel a kind of sorrow between Alex who is being harassed and Erick who is not listened to by the director. They knew many difficulties in this high school and the desire for revenge is possible but as soon as they shoot everyone, it becomes very dark. While Alex seemed to be the most sensitive, a character for whom we feel compassion. is actually the more horrible of the two killers. Their ultimate goal is to kill as many students and staff as possible... with the same pleasure as a video game.
